Your Cold Creek Tub: Need-to-Know Guide
A quick-reference guide for setup, maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
❓Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Water Maintenance
Maintaining your Cold Creek Tub is simple and low-effort. Some prefer to change the filter and water at the same time for convenience, but it's entirely optional.
For Residential Use:
- Change the filter every 2–5 months (Tip: If the jet slows down, it’s a good sign the filter needs replacing)
- Change the water every 3-6 months
For Commercial Use:
- Change the filter every 1–2 months
- Change the water monthly or sooner if the water appears cloudy
- We recommend reviewing our Commercial Use Guide for best practices.
Ozone System Timing
- The ozone system runs automatically at midnight for 1 hour.
- To adjust the schedule, use the white timer dial inside the unit (left side panel).
- Need help? Watch our Ozone Timer Adjustment Video for step-by-step guidance.
Understanding Valve Positions
- Open valves = for filling the tub and regular use (positioned parallel to plumbing)
- Closed valves = when you want to stop water flow, such as when changing the filter
Experiencing Leaks?
- First, make sure both valves are fully closed (positioned perpendicular to the plumbing).
- Confirm that all chiller connections and the water filter are firmly hand-tightened.
Where should I place my cold tub?
We recommend placing your tub indoors or outdoors in a fully covered or shaded area. Keeping it out of direct sunlight helps prevent surface heat buildup and protects the exterior finish over time.
What should I do in the winter with freezing temperatures?
In freezing conditions, we recommend following best practices to protect your tub and components. Check out our Winter Performance Guide for tips on operation.
