In 2003, our parents, Berry and Jill Carter, took a leap of faith. At just 35, raising three kids, they left Texas for California to purchase S&B Filters, a small manufacturing company. With grit, prayer, and a commitment to customer care, they built the business from the ground up.
We grew up in that spirit. Our mom ran more than 25 marathons in her 40s and 50s. Our dad still laces up for basketball several times a week. And all of us competed in high school and college sports. Discipline, consistency, and long-term effort weren’t just lessons—they were our way of life.
