Can I use my Cold Creek Tub indoors and outdoors? Will it withstand hot and cold weather?
Yes, our tubs are designed for both hot and cold weather. With 4” of insulation in the tub, 2” in the lid, and a 1/2 HP chiller, they're built to endure various climates. Made from premium polyethylene (similar to Yeti products) and reinforced with marine-grade EVA foam, they are water-resistant, non-slip, and long-lasting. Check out our insulation video here.
While Cold Creek Tubs are built for all-weather use, placing the tub in a covered area, such as under a patio or in your garage, will help protect it and prolong its lifespan.
Hot Weather: Our tubs perform well in high heat. Customers in regions like Palm Springs, Texas, and Arizona have experienced excellent performance where temperatures are 100°F.
Cold Weather: Our tubs are built with heavy insulation and continuous water circulation, allowing them to operate in temperatures as low as 20°F for extended periods without issues. Many of our customers in colder climates like Spokane, Utah, and New York leave their tubs running through the winter without any problems. However, if temperatures drop below 20°F for an extended period, we recommend removing the chiller and pump to prevent freezing and storing them indoors. For extreme cold—especially if temperatures fall below 5°F for a week or more—we advise draining the water to avoid freezing.

How does the water stay clean, and what is the maintenance?
Our Cold Creek Tubs feature an automatic ozone purification system and a large 20-inch water filter, which work together to keep the water clean without the need for chemicals or frequent changes. The water circulates continuously, and the only maintenance required is changing the filter.
For residential use, we recommend replacing the water filter every 2-5 months, depending on usage, and changing the water every 3-6 months.
For commercial use, we suggest our commercial maintenance kit, and more frequent filter and water changes for optimal performance.
What are the requirements for setting up a Cold Creek Tub? (e.g., electrical, water, placement)
Setting up your Cold Creek Tub is straightforward and no extra hassle. Below are the key requirements:
Electrical Outlet:
The tub requires a standard household outlet (110V, 15 Amp). An extension cord can be used if needed. Our tub draws about 4 amps when the chiller is running (activates only when needed to maintain your set temperature).
Water Connection:
A nearby garden hose to fill and drain the tub.
Space & Ventilation:
We recommend leaving 12 inches of clearance around the 3 vents for easy access to the chiller, controls, and filter.
Placement:
Set the tub on a flat surface, indoors or outdoors.
How do I set up my Cold Creek Tub, and how long will the process take?
Setting up your tub is straightforward: just install the chiller, filter, plug it in, fill it with water, and you're good to go!

What tips do you recommend for beginners?
Starting your cold plunging journey can be a thrilling adventure! While it might feel a bit uncomfortable at first, after a few sessions, you’ll see just how rewarding those few minutes can be.
Start with a temperature that feels uncomfortably cold yet manageable. Most people start with 1-2 minutes and gradually increase your time as you acclimate. Our tub is designed for all body types, allowing you to control the depth of your plunge by pressing your toes against the end.
Embrace the process and enjoy the benefits!
What is the optimum temperature and duration?
The ideal temperature is one that you can commit to. Begin with a temperature that is tolerably cold and gradually decrease it as your body adapts. Aim for a level that feels challenging but manageable.
Start with brief exposure times and gradually increase as your body acclimates. Consistency is key. Always listen to your body.

Why is the Cold Creek Tub less expensive than other premium cold tub companies?
When we first got into cold plunging, we were shocked by the price tags on some premium tubs—some were over $10k! While they had all the features we wanted, the cost was hard to justify. After discovering that many of these high prices were due to outsourced components, this got us thinking...could we make a cold tub with all the premium features at an affordable price?
Our family has been manufacturing products for over 25 years and was able to design and produce a top-quality product while cutting out the middleman. By being the manufacturer, we’re able to pass the savings directly to you—no markup, just value.
Why don’t you offer a WIFI application with your cold tub?
Changing the temperature of any cold tub isn’t an instant process; therefore, we felt an app simply over complicated the process and added unnecessary cost. Changing the temperature on Cold Creek Tubs takes only seconds and can actually be faster than with most apps. Simply open the side vent and reduce or increase the temperature. That’s it.
Why don’t you have a timer or the temperature displayed outside the unit?
Cold immersion is a transforming event that requires discipline, drive and determination. Staring at a timer counting down just makes the process more difficult and adds stress to a time when you should be focusing on a clear mind and a relax body. Many have found that listening to music while using your phone’s timer is the best way to control your length of stay.
Do you offer financing?
Absolutely. We have partnered with Affirm and Shop Pay to provide low-interest financing that meet your desired payment needs. Just select your preferred partner at check out.
Do you ship internationally?
We are currently only shipping to US Territories, Puerto Rico and Australia. In areas that use 220V outlets, a step up, step down convertor will be required.
