Horizontal Tub - Condensation/Leaking Under Filter
Understanding Condensation on Your Water Filter
Condensation is a normal and expected part of operating a cold tub system, especially in warm or humid environments. If you notice moisture forming around the filter housing, hoses, or plumbing connections, this is typically caused by temperature differences — not a leak or equipment malfunction.
This is the same effect you see when a cold drink “sweats” on a warm day.
The colder the water temperature and the more humid the environment, the more condensation may occur. This is especially common when running water temperatures below 50°F.
How to Reduce Condensation
While condensation cannot be eliminated completely, here are a few ways customers help minimize it:
- Place a small rubber tray or bowl underneath the filter area to catch excess moisture
- Add a filter sleeve to help reduce condensation on the filter housing
