How to Keep Your Cold Creek Tub Clean

How to Maintain the Water

Our tubs are designed for easy use with minimal upkeep. The ozone system and large filter keep your water fresh, but regular changes are key.

  • Replace the filter and change the water every 2–3 months for residential use.
  • Change sooner if the water becomes cloudy or jet flow slows.
  • A little care goes a long way to keep your Cold Creek Tub crystal clear and plunge-ready

Change filter  (How-to video)

  1. Locate the Filter: Open the back vent to access.
  2. Turn Off Electrical: Switch off the power strip inside tub compartment.
  3. Turn Off Water Flow: Close both blue valves so they’re perpendicular to the plumbing.
  4. Remove the Old Filter: Press the red pressure relief button on top of the filter head. Twist the blue housing counterclockwise to remove.
  5. Insert the New Filter: Unwrap the new filter, place it in the housing, and center it.
  6. Secure the Filter: Check the gasket is seated, then hand-tighten the housing.
  7. Resume Operation: Open both blue valves so they’re parallel to the plumbing. Turn the power strip back on inside the tub compartment.
  8. Inspect: Confirm there are no leaks.

Drain & refill

  1. Locate the Spigot: Find the brass garden hose spigot on your tub.
  2. Attach the Hose: Connect a garden hose securely.
  3. Find a Drain Area: Place the hose where water can flow out (driveway, drain, etc.)
  4. Open the Hose Valve: Turn the blue valve above the brass hose spigot to start draining.
  5. Power Off: Before the tub is completely empty, switch off the power inside the compartment. Important: Never run the pump dry—always turn it off once the water level gets low to prevent pump damage.
  6. Refill the Tub: Close the blue valve above the brass hose spigot to begin refilling.

💡 Tip: If you're in a rush and want to remove water quickly, grab a large bucket and manually scoop the water out.

Commercial Use:

For high-traffic settings, we recommend changing both the filter and water more frequently. Please review our Commercial Use Guide for best practices, including detailed water care tips and chemical use recommendations.
