Horizontal Tub Maintenance

How to Change the Water & Filter

Our tubs are designed for easy use with minimal upkeep. The ozone system and large filter keep your water fresh, but regular changes are key.

  • Replace the filter and change the water every 2–3 months for residential use.
  • Change sooner if the water becomes cloudy or jet inside the tub slows.
  • A little care goes a long way to keep your cold tub in the best shape.

💡 Tip: We recommend changing the water and filter at the same time while you’re already closing the valves and turning off the tub (Video below).

However, if there is still water in the tub and you only want to change the filter, follow the steps below:

Change Filter (with water in the tub)

  1. Turn Off Electrical: Switch off the power strip inside tub compartment.
  2. Turn Off Water Flow: Close both blue valves so they’re perpendicular to the plumbing.
  3. Remove the Old Filter: Unwrap the new filter and place it into the housing, making sure it is centered. Ensure the black silicone gasket is properly seated on the rim, and the white center piece is aligned in the middle.
  4. Insert the New Filter: Unwrap the new filter, place it in the housing, and center it. Ensure the black silicon gasket is seated on the rim, and the white center piece in the middle
  5. Resume Operation: Reattach the housing, then open the top & bottom blue valves near the pump so they are parallel to the plumbing. Turn the power strip back on inside the tub compartment.

Drain & Refill Water

  1. Keep your tub plugged in. The tub drains using the pump.
  2. Attach a hose to the built-in hose spigot on the tub. (Tip: the shorter the hose, the faster it will drain)
  3. Turn the blue hose valve on the spigot. Water will begin flowing through the hose. (To speed up draining, you can turn the top valve so it is perpendicular to the plumbing. Once finished, be sure to return it to the parallel position.)
  4. Once the tub is drained, TURN OFF or UNPLUG the electrical immediately. Running the pump without water will burn up the pump.
  5. Remove the hose from the spigot & close the blue valve on the gold hose spigot
  6. Refill the tub and double-check that both the top and bottom valves on the right-side plumbing are open (parallel to the plumbing)
  7. Turn on the electrical

💡

Tip: If you're in a rush and want to remove water quickly, grab a large bucket and manually scoop the water out.

Commercial Use:

For high-traffic settings, we recommend changing both the filter and water more frequently. Please review our Commercial Use Guide for best practices, including detailed water care tips and chemical use recommendations.

How to Clean the Tub Body and EVA Foam Surfaces

To Clean the EVA Foam Surfaces

  • Dish Soap Solution: Mix just a few drops of dish soap with warm water.
  • Wipe: Use a soft cloth or sponge to gently clean the foam.
  • Rinse & Dry: Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly with a towel.

To Clean the Tub Body

  • Wipe down the roto-molded plastic body with water and a towel.
