Vertical Tub – Routine Care & Maintenance

How to Maintain the Water

Our Vertical Tubs are designed for easy maintenance. The All-in-One Cooling & Filtration Unit works continuously to help keep your water fresh, but routine care is essential for optimal performance.

Tips and recommendations:

  • Replacing the filter and changing the water once a month
  • Changing sooner if the water becomes cloudy or jet flow slows
  • Rinsing off before plunging (especially after sauna use) to reduce sweat and oils that can cause cloudiness
  • We recommend changing the water and filter at the same time while the system is already paused and the valves are closed.

A little routine care goes a long way in keeping your cold tub clean, clear, and running at its best.💡

How to Change the Filter

  1. Slide back the enclosed step.
  2. Press the “Pause” button on the chiller. Wait until you hear the pump turn off completely.
  3. Close both valves so they are perpendicular to the plumbing. Make sure both (2) valves are closed. This stops water flow between the tub and the chiller. See images below for valve positions.
  4. Remove the filter housing lid by rotating it counterclockwise.
  5. Pull out the old filter.
  6. Insert the new filter into the housing and center it properly. Twist the lid back on securely.
  7. Open both white valves so they are parallel to the plumbing.
  8. Press "Resume" to turn the pump back on.
  9. Press the pressure relief button on the filter lid to release any trapped air.
  10. Inspect the unit and confirm there are no leaks.

How to Drain (Using the Chiller Unit)

You have two options for draining — see below:

Option 1: Drain Using a Hose

  1. Slide the step back slightly to access the drain spigot.
  2. Unplug the tub from electrical to turn off power.
  3. Attach a garden hose to the built-in gold drain spigot located at the bottom of the tub.
  4. Twist the hose on securely.
  5. Turn the valve on the spigot to begin draining.
  6. Position the hose downhill or in a downward direction to allow gravity to fully drain the tub.
  7. Once fully drained, close the hose spigot valve and ensure the tub remains unplugged.

Option 2: Drain Directly to the Ground

  1. Slide the step back slightly to access the drain spigot.
  2. Unplug the tub from electrical to turn off power.
  3. Place the tub where drainage is appropriate.
  4. Turn the valve on the built-in gold drain spigot at the bottom of the tub.
  5. Allow the water to flow directly onto the ground.
  6. Once fully drained, close the hose spigot valve and ensure the tub remains unplugged.

Make sure the water is directed to an appropriate drainage area before opening the valve.

To Refill

  1. Double check both (2) valves are open and parallel to the plumbing (see photo below).
  2. Fill the tub with water at least above the jet before turning power back on.
  3. Plug the chiller into a standard 110V outlet. Within about 5 minutes, you should see small bubbles coming from the jet — this means the ozone and water circulation have started.
  4. Set your desired temperature on the chiller: Press and hold SET, Use ▲ / ▼ to choose your temperature, Press SET again to confirm.

Be sure the tub is always filled above the jet before powering on. Running the tub dry can burn out the pump.
