Vertical Tub - Low/No Water Flow

One way to identify low water flow is by monitoring your water temperature. If your chiller is not cooling, it is likely that you have little or no water flow.

If your chiller is cooling the water normally, you have sufficient water flow.

Because the return jet is located near the bottom of the tub, you may need to partially drain the water to inspect the flow coming from the jet.

If you do not feel any water flow, or the flow feels very weak, please check the following:

1. Confirm Both Water Valves Are OPEN

Both water valves located on the hoses must be fully open for proper water circulation.

The valves should be in the OPEN, parallel position (aligned with the plumbing line). See video here and image below for examples of the correct valve position. If one or both valves are perpendicular to the plumbing line, they are CLOSED and will restrict water flow.

2. Confirm You Have Changed the Filter Recently

A dirty or clogged filter can reduce water flow.

If you have not changed the filter within the last month, we recommend replacing it first and then checking whether water flow improves.

3. Check the Jet Pressure Inside the Tub

Ensure water is flowing from the jet inside the tub.

  • If water is flowing from the jet, the pump is operating properly.
  • If there is little or no water flow, drain the tub so the water level is approximately 1 inch below the jet and take a video showing the flow coming from the jet.
