Vertical Tub - Condensation/Leaking

Understanding Condensation

Condensation is a normal and expected part of operating a cold tub system, especially in warm or humid environments. If you notice moisture forming around the filter housing, hoses, or plumbing connections, this is typically caused by temperature differences — not a leak or equipment malfunction.

This is the same effect you see when a cold drink "sweats" on a warm day.

The colder the water temperature and the more humid the environment, the more condensation may occur. This is especially common when running water temperatures below 50°F.

Where You May Notice Condensation

On your Vertical Tub, condensation can appear on:

  • Water hoses
  • Filter housing
  • Plumbing fittings and connections
  • Around or underneath the chiller

How to Reduce Condensation

While condensation cannot be eliminated completely, there are a few ways to help manage it:

  • Ensure the area has good airflow and ventilation
  • Keep surrounding surfaces dry when possible
  • Consider placing a water mat underneath the tub or chiller to help protect the surface below

For example, some customers use a mat underneath their setup to help catch condensation and protect decks, patios, or flooring. A few popular options is: WeatherTech All-Purpose Mat, Amazon Felt Floor Mat

Please note: condensation is most common in warm, humid climates and does not indicate a leak.
